With a brand new release of Fortra Insite, GoAnywhere MFT administrators can now view key GoAnywhere analytics from Insite’s single-pane-of-glass interface. This integration allows admins to supervise multiple GoAnywhere systems, monitor critical file transfer metrics, create dashboards and widgets, switch to other supported Fortra products, and much more. Best of all, these actions can be done anywhere on any device.
What is Fortra Insite?
Fortra Insite is a secure, modern web platform that gives Fortra customers a centralized view of what’s going on in their products. Users can create shared or private dashboards that contain the data they need to see across their systems. They can also switch between connected products with ease—without launching separate programs.
GoAnywhere MFT and Fortra Insite
The newest version of Insite, released in July 2018, gives GoAnywhere customers the ability to centralize their Fortra products, access important information on the go, set up dashboard widgets, and monitor multiple GoAnywhere systems from one location.
Insite also gives users the flexibility to create and monitor over 25 GoAnywhere-specific widgets on an intuitive, drag-and-drop dashboard. These widgets (known to GoAnywhere users as dashboard gadgets) give Insite administrators visibility into the status and activity of GoAnywhere servers, key application metrics, and job performance data.
The GoAnywhere dashboard widgets offered in this release include:
- Completed Jobs: See, at a glance, the number of completed, canceled, or failed jobs for a specific date range
- Recent File Activity: View recently transferred files, the users associated to the activity, file locations, and more in order to keep track of them as they move through the system
- GoAnywhere Triggers: This displays whether events, like sending secure mail, uploading a document, or transferring a file, succeeded or failed
- Expiring SSL Certificates: Find SSL certificates that have expired or will be expiring soon to prevent outages and connectivity issues
- And many more!
While GoAnywhere MFT already has dashboards, Insite provides an extra benefit: the ability to smoothly monitor popular GoAnywhere events from anywhere, at any time of day, through an easily-accessible URL on your laptop, smartphone, or tablet. At the gym, out to an important lunch, or on a well-needed vacation and suddenly need to check what’s happening with a file transfer job? You can receive visibility into GoAnywhere without returning to the office or using your work computer.

Get Started with Insite (for GoAnywhere Customers)
Are you a GoAnywhere user? Fortra Insite is a no-cost addition to the product package Fortra customers receive, which means you can get started today!
Download and install Insite if you haven’t already, then connect GoAnywhere to Insite from within Insite by going to Settings > Product Connections. Click Add, then choose GoAnywhere MFT as the connection type.
Once you’re in the product, click the Help icon in the upper right corner to access Insite’s web documentation for navigation, user settings, and dashboards.
