Chris Bailey

Chris Bailey is the product leader for Fortra's Managed File Transfer solutions, including GoAnywhere, Globalscape, and FileCatalyst. Before assuming his current role, Chris co-founded and served as CEO of FileCatalyst, guiding the company until its acquisition by Fortra in January 2021. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, and is the inventor of the patented core protocol that accelerates file transfers for FileCatalyst and GoAnywhere.

Chris's innovative contributions have earned him two Emmy Awards on behalf of FileCatalyst: one for pioneering accelerated file transfer for the broadcast industry and another for his collaboration with NBC during the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi. In recognition of his business achievements, Chris was honored with a Top 40 Under Forty award in Ottawa, Canada, in 2016.
